1. Giulio Tampalini received the Arts and Culture Award in Milan in 2014.

   • After graduating with honors from the Cuneo Conservatory, he won the major international guitar awards:
   • The “Yepes” Competition in Sanremo
   • The “Sor” in Rome
   • The International Music Tournament in Rome twice
   • The “De Bonis” in Cosenza and the prestigious “Andrés Segovia” in Granada
2. He won two Golden Guitars for best album:
2. In 2003 with Tárrega: Complete Works for Guitar
3. In 2018 for the album Castelnuovo-Tedesco: Complete Works for Soprano and Guitar
3. He performs regularly in Europe, Asia and the United States as a soloist and with orchestra.
4. His impressive discography includes CDs dedicated to:
• The Italian twentieth century
• The complete works for solo guitar by Castelnuovo-Tedesco
• Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez
• Angelo Gilardino’s, Giuliani’s Sei Rossiniane, Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Concerto n. 1, Quintet and Romancero Gitano, and five complete works:
• Tárrega
• Llobet
• Matiegka
• Legnani
• Villa-Lobos
5. He is guitar professor at the Donizetti Conservatory in Bergamo Italy and at the Fondazione Accademia Internazionale di Imola “Incontri con il Maestro”, and he holds highly popular masterclasses in Italy, Europe, Asia and America.
6. He is a D’Addario artist and plays guitars by luthier Philip Woodfield.
