Now I Don't Taste Wine I Can't Afford

I used to be somebody who'd splurge on wine, but that's no longer an option. And as for listening to the opinions of those who get paid to give them, forget it.

  • I don't look up to bullies
  • I don't play games with people who think they're above me

It's a gamble just waking up every day. I've been dreaming about touring Argentina like some kind of video game.

  1. I'd tour the country, visiting all the famous sights.
  2. But then I'd mess up and have to start over from scratch.

The devil would be the main character, with horns that pointed down. And I'd steal my buddy Ted's Ford Bronco and wreck it in the south.

  1. I'd get sued for damages, but I couldn't defend myself because I was high and leaving town.

And so the cycle continues: I don't taste wine I can't afford.

There's a message in Sanskrit that was relayed to me in Greek, saying that the future is looking bleak. And if that's the way it is, then yes, I am complaining.

  1. I'd tell them not to try to make me feel like a failure or tell me what to do with my life.

And so the cycle continues: I don't taste wine I can't afford.

Now what's the point in winning when you had to pay to play? Even I could get into baseball if there was money on the way.

  1. I'd make sure that the law enforcement officers who are trying to intimidate me know that they were just like me back in school - picked on, picked off, and slow to grow.

And so the cycle continues: I don't taste wine I can't afford.
