Stop thinking too much
I started recording this video before last week's evening session, but I wasn't sure what to do with it at first. So, I added some drums, which didn't seem to fit at all. Despite my attempts to come up with something else, it became clear that one guitar track was supposed to be the focus. I find it fascinating when everything sounds cohesive afterwards, even if I didn't have an idea just before hitting record.
Spending time improvising and being open to trying whatever comes to mind can be very rewarding and calming. It's also a fun way to experiment with different sounds and practice scales... or rather, fragments of scales in my case.
