The Santoor or "Santur" belongs to the instrument groups of hammered dulcimers (like the Irish dulcimer or the German / Austrian "Hackbrett") and is supposed to very old, up to thousands of years they say.

• There is as well the Indian Santoor which is similar yet quite different to the Persian Santur which is seen here in the video.
• This instrument would be tuned and played quite differently in traditional Persian music.

I am using a Western-style tuning, tuned to 432 Hz in this case, and developed my own way of playing, strongly influenced by my work as a Sound Healing Facilitator and contemporary artist.
