Todd Sucherman- Motif-practice idea at a recording session 1/17/25
Improvised Motif Idea:
In between recording sessions yesterday, I was trying to come up with a melodic idea that utilized all eight toms.
- I started playing this melody using an ABABA form and hit record.
- The time is a little wonky as the stretch from the gong drum to the 6” tom is pretty big—but this is something I think I’ll develop and come back with better soon.
The drums are the new studio kit - Sonor SQ2 heavy beech.
