An industry pillar of the Australian club scene, Mo'funk's combination of maintaining the true art of DJ'ing, unparalleled technical apt, versatility, and unrivaled tastemaker sensibilities, across a wide scope of sounds, makes him a true one of a kind.
With more than 12 seasons under his belt, Mo had been holding down residencies at some of Ibiza's greatest venues Pacha, Cafe Del Mar, Cafe Mambo & Space, along with guest spots at Defected's weekly throwdown Glitterbox at Hi. production credits include: “Magic” on Peppermint Jam, ‘When You Dance’ with Todd Terry on Freeze, club classics on French label Robsoul & Brobot, as well as Mo’s new vinyl only label just launched, Only Cuts.
Dj's supports incl: Erykah Badu, De La Soul, Snoop Dogg, Jazzy Jeff, Mark Ronson, Carl Cox, Dj Sneak, Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Kenny Dope, Joey Negro, Todd Terry, Crazy P, Greg Wilson & Nightmares on Wax!
This mix is a small dedication to the unique sounds of Nu-Disco, a style that merged disco and house music elements and formed a completely new style in the early 2000’s through artists like Crazy P & Metro Area. Some classics and new jams are in this mix, blending through tracks and making the most of the new AlphaTheta mixer done in my own unique way, enjoy!
