Don't Grill the Cat - Butter Bread Kellersession
Don't Grill the Cat - Butter Bread, live from Aggstein, April 2024
The longest and most elaborate Butter Bread Original. With influences from Snarky Puppy to the Headhunters, there's something for everyone in this too-long monster track. Compositional-wise, it also presents some new experiments for us, such as vocals without text, four different time signatures, or a brief detour into the metal genre.
The title "Don't grill the cat" is a nod to the charming house rules of our host in Aggstein, where the song was created and recorded, with the request not to BBQ the neighbor's cat.
