This 14x7 KDrums Snare Sounds INSANE!!!
I recently mentioned a new project in the works, a collaboration with a longtime friend on guitar.
The sound we're aiming for is big, and to achieve that, you need a big drum. I reached out to my friend Ben from KDrums, and he kindly allowed me to try out one of his 14x7s. The experience was impressive!
The stats on this drum are:
- • 14x7 13mm Stave Shell
- • Made from Tawa, Rimi, & Matai
- • Pine Re-Rings
- • 2.3mm Hoops
- • Custom KDrums Leather Gaskets
This snare has an impressive natural bite and ring, which you can hear in the first part of the clip. I then use my Tandem Drop to refine it further, achieving perfection.
I'm thrilled with the result and confident that this is exactly what I was looking for. More updates will follow soon...
Additionally, I'm using:
- sE Mics
- Apogee Hardware
- Wincent Sticks
- Agop Cymbals
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask/share them.
Cheers!
