Hardly anyone embodies the antithesis of virtuoso swaggering as irresistibly as Bill Frisell. His art of saying a lot with just a few notes and opening up wide associative spaces with small means makes him unique and one of the style-defining guitarists of jazz.
Bill Frisell will be bringing his musical collaborators from the album “Four” (2022) to the German Jazz Festival Frankfurt. “Without a bass, it was a bit scary at first,” says Frisell, describing the special line-up for the record, ”but it's never really about the instruments, it's about the chemistry between the musicians.”
