Tenor Ian Bostridge Joins Christophe Rousset & Les Talens Lyriques For a Night of Baroque Music
Filmed in March 2016, this recital marked the first encounter between British tenor Ian Bostridge and Les Talens Lyriques under Christophe Rousset. From Purcell to Handel, from Lully to Rameau, France and England converse in a striking dialogue: lyrical elegance and tragedy on one side, biblical grandeur and nocturnal magic on the other. A baroque journey that reveals the full richness and contrasts of a repertoire under the sign of the night.
