About the Album:
"Light Through Colored Glass" began as a way to break free from overthinking—each song was written on nylon string guitar in around an hour and recorded with just a single microphone. My goal was to let go of over-analysis and simply sit with ideas that felt true in the moment without judgment.
What started as a creative challenge became something much more meaningful: a way to process the things that were on my mind, using music as both therapy and exploration. As guitar players, there’s often this strange assumption that simplicity is the same thing as simplistic—an awful idea that comes from who knows where—but I wanted to break away from that.
Simplicity can be elegant, not plain. Complexity can be beautiful, but it can also ruin a good idea if we overcomplicate it just to be clever. I needed to rethink that dilemma and return to something pure and true, letting the musical sparks guide me without unnecessary endless tweaking.
Each of these tracks feels like a letter to my future self—reminders of the lessons I’m learning and need to be reminded of along the way. This album isn’t just a collection of songs; it’s a reflection of my growth, creative process, and mental clarity.
It’s about finding peace in playing a single whole note with presence, trusting the cycles, and letting the music guide me back home, no matter where life takes me. I hope these songs do the same for you—that they bring you a sense of calm, reflection, and a bit of light through the cracks.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me—these tunes are for all of us trying to make sense of it all.
