Now I'm up to date with videos I never uploaded from last year, I've decided to shift focus in my playing, working on holding the groove as consistently as I can. So I set myself a little challenge.
Hold the groove for at least a full minute. Just a short pickup to lead in, then no fills, no variations, no crash cymbals. Instead just consistent dynamics, clear articulation, and feeling settled and relaxed.
