About the Symphony:
The Symphony No. 8 in F Major, Opus 93 was composed by Ludwig van Beethoven and first performed on February 27, 1814, at a Vienna concert.
This symphony is full of musical jokes and witty humor, which may have been lost to modern audiences but remain a delight to listen to. The second movement, Allegretto scherzando, is particularly charming with its elegant melody and relentless tick-tick-tick in the woodwinds.
About the Performers:
Fabian Müller conducts the Trinity Sinfonia in this performance. He has established himself as one of the most remarkable pianists and conductors of his generation, with a particular interest in Bach's music.
