La Danse Magique is one of my French-style waltzes for bandoneón, part of the album "An Imaginary Soundtrack".
This piece carries a nostalgic, cinematic character—somewhere between elegance and dreamlike motion. Like my other pieces La Valse Perdu and Valse des Adieux, it feels like a dance suspended in time, where melody and movement blend into something fleeting yet evocative.
I composed these and all the pieces from "An Imaginary Soundtrack" 15 years ago while studying in Paris, inspired by the sound of the French accordion, the musette tradition, and the bohemian atmosphere of the city. This music carries that influence, shaped by the places and moments that brought it to life.
Hope you enjoy it.
