Alex Rudinger - DEAD LETTER CIRCUS - "WE OWN THE LIGHT"
Dead Letter Circus - We Own The Light
I've been a huge fan of Dead Letter Circus since 2010 and have covered one of their songs, "Lines", in the past. It's great to see that my cover is still available on YouTube.
This video features the song "We Own The Light" from their self-titled release in 2018, which is still one of my favorite albums. I've listened to all of their releases and always come back to DLC's music when I need a boost.
- DLC has been a source of comfort for me
- I love the way their lyrics are delivered over the music
- Luke Williams is an incredibly talented drummer with some of the coolest drum riffs I've ever heard
Playing and learning this song was cathartic for me, especially during a tough time. While drums haven't been bringing me the same emotional release lately, this song was an exception.
I used an A.I. splitter to create the backing audio and edited some minor artifacts in the vocals. I'd like to thank Declan White for the amazing mix job!
