Blues Run The Game by Jackson C. Frank
This song had a huge influence on me as a songwriter.
- Released in 1965, it received little praise or recognition, despite Paul Simon’s efforts to introduce Jackson C. Frank to the world.
- Likely shaped by the trauma of his childhood, Frank spent much of his life in obscurity,
- struggling with mental illness and periods of homelessness.
He was a beautiful songwriter.
